SEVERAL interesting activities were observed during the practical teaching for English and Social Studies at MTsN Ngemplak, Boyolali. The emphasis of the activities in English was on getting the children to actively use the English language.

Grade 9b students is a Social Studies lesson at MTsN Ngemplak writing down information that they have found in their books. Bpk. Bambang Sudarsono
one of the national trainers is observing and giving feedback to a groups of students.

Grade 7b students busy matching English and Indonesian words

Grade 7c students making ‘jasjus’ and writing instructions in English on how to make it.

Grade 7a students finding the English and Indonesian words for various objects in their environment. One of the students, Fikrin, can be seen displaying his group’s work on the wall, assisted by one of the national trainers, Maria Tasilin.
