Whole School Training Develops Students’ Creativity
FIVE students gave their answers to the teacher. Each one of them gave a different answer. However, all of them were considered correct. Each one of these students presented their arguments to support their answers.
This happened when teachers practiced asking high level questions during the teaching practice in BTL2 training, which was held at SMPN 1 Indramayu on July 13.
The students were to find multiple answers to the open-ended questions aked by the teacher. Interestingly, students were not only able to find the answers, but they also made some strong arguments to back up their answers.
“With this kind of activity, we encourage and motivate students to think creatively,” said one teacher.
“Their answers might be different from one another, but they all gave their reasons,” added the teacher. Students seemed satisfied with this learning activity. They felt challenged to find the answers to the questions. “I like it. I really enjoy this kind of activity,” commented one student.
